What is the Paleo Diet?
Well, it’s sometimes called the Caveman Diet. Imagine what a Caveman might eat thousands of years ago. It would be Meat, Fruit & Veg. All good for you according to scientists.
But the Caveman evolved into Agriculture Man and started processing foods and adding additives to it. Preserving food became important issue, so preservatives were added. More & more toxins went into food processing.
We started making Bread, Pasta & Rice. Then we started eating Sweets and cakes full of sugar. Etc etc etc! A complete mess of what was once an easy choice.
The Paleo Diet allows you to get back control of your body by leaving out Processed foods like Bread, Pasta, Sugars and replace them with Meat, Fish & Vegetables! In fact, much like this list:-
- animals (meat, fish, reptiles, insects, etc. — and usually, almost all parts of the animals, including organs, bone marrow, cartilage, and organs)
- animal products (such as eggs or honey)
- roots/tubers, leaves, flowers and stems (in other words, vegetables)
- nuts and seeds that can be eaten raw
The Paleo Diet has two fundamental principles.
- To put the maximum amount of nutrition into your body
- To reduce or eliminate “Toxins”
The first principle is pretty self explanatory, just eat natural foods untouched by modern food production and processing.
The second principle is broadly speaking, cutting out Bad Processed food. This is paramount to the principle as processed food is full of toxins and importantly, is said to be Carcinogenic by some experts.
Once we have achieved these basic principles, we look and feel so much better.
Here are some of the basic Health benefits of being on a Paleo Diet
- Stronger healthier Bones
- Better Sleep
- Thicker Hair
- Better Skin
- Increased Energy
- More Stamina
- Increased Libido
- Improved Eyesight
- Better Performance
- Improved Mental Clarity

- And much much more
It should all be so easy. But there’s a catch!
