Cake Bars for Paleo Dessert
You can make great-tasting bars that are moist and thick, without compromising your Paleo diet rules. The delicious cake bar recipe is prepared with almond, coconut and cranberry. You can get more taste from the bars by adding some couple of fresh berries and a drizzle of maple syrup.
The ingredients you will need for the cranberry, almond and coconut cake bar are:
• Half cup of maple syrup
• One-third cups of coconut oil
• One cup of coconut milk
• Half-cup of dried cranberries
• Half-cup of desiccated coconut
• Two cups of ground almonds
Step 1: Prepare the oven by heating it up to 180C. Then, line a square tin of about 20cm.
Step 2: Whisk the wet ingredients together in a bowl.
Step 3: Add the ground almonds and coconut, whisk until you get a smooth batter.
Step 4: Stir in the cranberries into the batter with a wooden spoon.
Step 5: Pour the entire mixture into the prepared tin, place in the center of the oven and bake for about 30 to 40 minutes.
Step 6: Allow to cool before carefully removing from the tin. You have to be careful while removing the cake from the tin or it will crack.
Cut the cake into bars or squares for a great Paleo dessert.
